SMSS and Aberlour

While we are big fans of many distilleries and the wonderful nectars that they produce, we must confess that Aberlour (Note: external link) holds a special place in our hearts.  Why?  Well, for starters, we just love a'bunadh (Note: external link).  There has been a bottle of a'bunadh on nearly every SMSS table since we started meeting, and nobody who has ever tasted the stuff could wonder why.  It's just lovely.

But, as of February of 2005, we have additional reason to give Aberlour a particularly honored spot at our table.  For at that time a group of our regulars took a trip to Scotland and visited Aberlour.  There we experienced firsthand the wonderful hospitality of Scotland in general, and of Aberlour in particular.  Interested parties can read an account of our journey at http://www.lynnoel.com/pubs/abunadhdry.html (Note: external link).
